Damien Richardson Player Advisors

Damien Richardson , MD, MPH, played for seven seasons in the NFL and spent his entire career as a professional athlete with the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is now a physician and orthopedic surgery resident at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. He holds an MD from the University of California San Francisco, School of Medicine, a MPH in quantitative methods from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a BS in bio-engineering from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona, where he played college football from 1994-1998. His research interests revolve around population health sciences, focusing on clinical effectiveness and valued-based metrics in healthcare. He has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals, and is a volunteer for numerous organizations as a mentor, speaker, fundraiser, and health educator.
