Brandon Yates is the senior clinical research coordinator for the Football Players Health Study at Harvard University. In his role, he supports day-to-day clinical research activities, study design, and regulatory protocol management of the Study. Brandon brings several years of experience in designing strength and conditioning training programs, as well as conducting research on elite and adolescent athletes, older adults, and military personnel. Prior to joining the Study, he was the research specialist and senior exercise physiologist for the U.S. Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine, University of Connecticut Human Performance Lab, and U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
Additionally, he is trained as a certified strength and conditioning specialist and USA weightlifting performance coach, giving him the opportunity to instruct NBA, NFL, and youth athletes at St. Vincent’s Sport Performance, The Micheli Center for Sports Injury Prevention, and the Hospital for Special Surgery. He received a BS and MS in exercise science from IUPUI and University of Connecticut, respectively.
