Ted Courtney is a research and innovation executive, award-winning scientist, strategist, and talent catalyst. Courtney brings over 20 years of experience in industry, higher education and the trade space between them. Prior to joining The Football Players Health Study at Harvard University, he held several leadership positions at Liberty Mutual’s Research Institute for Safety in research, engagement, operations, and finance, including founding the Institute’s Center for Injury Epidemiology. Courtney received his MS in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is also an instructor in injury, safety and ergonomics in the Department of Environmental Health at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and a research affiliate in the MIT Senseable City Lab and MIT Age Lab at MIT.
