Alejandra Leal

Alejandra Leal is the research assistant for the Football Players Health Study at Harvard University. She received her bachelor’s degree in public health and a certificate in Spanish for healthcare professionals from the University of Texas at Austin. During her studies, her research focused on cancer-related mutations to the PARP1 DNA repair enzyme. She also aided in research at Emory University, where her work focused on using heart rate variability as an indicator in delirium and dementia. Leal’s research interests include psychology, environmental health, social/behavioral health, and health disparities.
