Douglas “Bucky” Dilts has lived in the Denver/Boulder area for more than 40 years. He played with the Denver Broncos (1977-1978) and Baltimore Colts (1979). For more than 40 years he has been involved in sales for service-related industries (air freight, records management, commercial real estate).

Dilts is a 14-year prostate cancer survivor and participates in prostate cancer awareness campaigns yearly. He has worked with the Colorado University Division of Urology and Prostate Conditions Education Council (PCEC) in the promotion of facts and screenings and urges efforts for earlier detection. He has participated in “Pints for Prostates” at the Great American Beer Fest along with PCEC.  He currently works for the University of Colorado as an older adult research specialists (OARS), and does community outreach to connect older adults to clinical trial opportunities.   

Dilts currently is on the board for Colorado Crisis Services/988, a statewide provider of crisis support. He also participated in the formation of a peer-to-peer support group for all Sheridan police personnel. Previously, he was a board member for the Broncos Alumni Association for four years, assisting in promotion and fundraising for their “Cleats for Kids” program. He also assisted in putting together a crisis line for University of Colorado athletic alumni called Buffs4Life.
