Adam Tenforde

Adam Tenforde is an associate professor in the Department of Physical Medicine and Reha­bilitation at Harvard Medical School and a co-investigator for the In-Person Assessments. As a contributing physician to the Football Players Health Study at Harvard University, he meets with participants of the In-Person Assessment Study to discuss results. He is a sports medicine physician and director of running and shockwave medicine at the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, part of Mass General Brigham healthcare system. Tenforde has the unique perspective of being both a doctor and a former professional runner who was an All-American at Stanford University where he contributed to three NCAA National Team Championships and later qualified for the Olympic trials. His research and clinical focus are on management and prevention of sports injuries in athletes and methods to optimize health in former NFL players.
