Murray A. Mittleman

Murray A. Mittleman is an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and associate professor of epidemiology at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (HSPH). He is the director of the Cardiovascular Epidemiology Research Unit at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, associate program director for the Biostatistics Program at Harvard Catalyst | The Harvard Clinical and Translational Science Center, and faculty chair of the Master of Public Health program at HSPH, where he teaches intermediate and advanced epidemiologic methods courses at the graduate level. Through these roles he has gained extensive experience mentoring trainees and junior faculty in the conduct of their research. Mittleman’s applied research focuses on behavioral and environmental determinants of acute cardiovascular events and their prognosis.
