Robert Edwards

Robert Edwards, PhD, is an investigator for the In-Person Assessments, an initiative of the Football Players Health Study at Harvard University. Edwards is a pain psychologist and associate professor in the department of anesthesiology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. His research focuses on individual differences in pain perception, and on the design and testing of non-pharmacologic treatments for chronic pain. Edwards is an active advocate for the assessment and management of chronic pain, the leading cause of disability and reduced quality of life in many countries.
